Advertising monitor

Advertising monitor

Advertising monitor - a device designed to broadcast promotional video materials indoors, in transport, or on the street using Digital Signage technology.

The advertising monitor became widespread in Russia in 2004-2009. Advertising monitors were placed in supermarkets, in minibuses and buses and at instant payment terminals in large cities of Russia, such as Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Ufa, Chelyabinsk, Novosibirsk, Samara, Omsk, St. Petersburg, Saratov, Voronezh.

An “advertising monitor” is often confused with a simple, computer monitor and a TV . However, they differ significantly - the advertising monitor has practically no settings like on a TV, there are practically no buttons on it, often there is no control panel in the kit. Advertising monitors turn on automatically when power is applied, without requiring a button press, and begin displaying information coming from the media block (advertising player).

Content is usually hosted on removable flash media or in the internal memory. Overwriting content on the built-in memory can be done automatically or manually.

Applications

A similar device can be installed in any public place. With its help, it became possible to quickly visually convey important information to large masses of people in a public place. Currently, advertising monitors have found the widest application in public transport, which has created a new type of advertising. In many cities, advertising agencies specializing in this particular type of advertising were organized.
