“When the Tigers Broke Free” is a song released at the end of 1982 by Pink Floyd . Initially, it was supposed to be included in the album The Wall , but there it was not included, but entered into the film Parker , divided into two parts, and released a separate single at the end of 1982. The song was written during the recording of the album The Wall , and was originally proposed for the album. But after it was excluded from the release. The song was first released on the single to the development album The Final Cut and lasted 2 minutes. 55 sec. The single was released on July 26, 1982, before the release of the film on The Wall album.
The song first appeared on a CD in 1996 on the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra Plays the Music of Pink Floyd. The song was included in the 2001 Echoes: The Best of Pink Floyd compilation. On the compilation of the song appeared remixed long 3:42. In 2004, the song was included in the re-release of The Final Cut album between the songs “One of the Few” and “The Hero's Return”. The edited version of the album was 3:16.
