Tsibilchaltun ( yucatec. Dzibilchaltún, Ts'íibil Cháaltun - Place of flat stones) is an ancient city, the Mayan archaeological site in the Mexican state of Yucatan about 15 km north of the state capital Merida .

History
The place where Tsibilchaltun was located was inhabited by people for several millennia, repeatedly expanding and again decreasing in size.
The most famous building is the “Temple of Seven Dolls”, named after seven small decorative figures discovered by archaeologists in the 1950s in the same place where the temple was opened, under the ruins of a later pyramid-temple. On the vernal equinox, the sun shines through two windows in the opposite walls of the temple. The temple is connected to the rest of the city through a long sakbe .
Another noteworthy place is the cenote , which locals use all year round as a pool. There are also ruins of a Spanish church built in the 16th century.
Modernity
There is a museum in Cibilchaltun where Maya products are stored - found here and from other regions.
