Collier's Weekly , subsequently Collier’s ( Rus. Kolerovsky weekly ) is a former weekly American magazine founded by Peter Fenelon Collier in 1888 and produced until 1957 .
Between 1936 and 1939, Collier’s published Martha Gellhorn and Ernest Hemingway 's notes on the Spanish Civil War .
In the period from World War I to 1938, the future Prime Minister of Great Britain Winston Churchill collaborated with the magazine.
After Collier's Weekly accepted two works by Kurt Vonnegut , having paid $ 750 and $ 950, he, having received the equivalent of several months of work in the public relations department of General Electric , decided to devote himself completely to literature [1] .
