Geography
The village is located on the Khopyor River , 240 km east of Voronezh and 20 km from Borisoglebsk .
Not far from the village was a natural formation, popularly called the Chertinsky Pit. According to legend, the education was named in honor of the tsarist adviser General Chertkov, who periodically lived there. [2]
