Biography
Henry became the heir to the duchy after the death of his older brother, Hugo, in 1059/1060. However, he died before his father.
Marriage and children
The name of Henry's wife is not mentioned in the sources. As the year of marriage, based on the year of birth of the eldest son, 1056 is indicated .
Abbot Maurice Schom, on the basis of onomastic data, suggested that Henry's wife was a relative of Count Barcelona Ramon Borrel I. Sabolc de Vazhaji suggested that the wife of Henry was the daughter of Berenguer Ramon I , Count of Barcelona. Of the daughters of Ramon Berenguer, Sibyll (1035-1074) is usually chosen.
Other historians believe that his wife was Sibylla, daughter of Renault I , Count of Burgundy .
There is another version. Jean Richard suggested that Henry's wife was named Clementia and she came from Poitiers .
