The first article on this Wikipedia was an article about astronomy ( Thai. ดาราศาสตร์ ). Now this article is a featured one, but initially it consisted of one heading and 32 interwiki links.
Thai Wikipedia was mentioned in the press during the political crisis in Thailand in 2005-2006 [1] .
Barrier of 40,000 entries The Thai Wikipedia passed in October 2008 with an article on the Bamboo Blade ( ฤทธิ์ ดาบ ไม้ไผ่ ) manga .
By February 2009, it contained more than 42 thousand articles, and by October - 50 thousand. In December 2010, the number of articles approached 65 thousand. January 30, 2016 the number of articles on the Thai Wikipedia reached 100 thousand.

As of 6:40 ( UTC ) on August 15, 2019, the section contains 132,731 articles, occupying 54th place among all language sections by this parameter.
