Fabre, Pierre

Pierre Fabre ( French Pierre Fabre ; 1716 , Tarascon - 1791 [1] ) - French surgeon .

The first of Fabre's most significant works is The Experience on Sexually Transmitted Diseases ( Fr. Essai des maladies vénériennes ; P., 1758), in 1765 an expanded two-volume publication entitled A Treatise on Venereal Diseases ( Fr. Traité des maladies vénériennes ) was published . , in 1777 also published in German; in the future, Fabre released several appendices to this work. This is followed by the “Study of the nature of man, considered in health and illness” ( Fr. Recherches sur la nature de l'homme, considéré dans l'état de santé et dans l'état de maladie ; P., 1776), “ Experiments on the properties of the soul in accordance with the sensitivity and irritability of our organs ”( Fr. Essais sur les facultés de l'âme, considérées dans leur rapport avec la sensibilité et l'irritabilité de nos organes ; P., 1785) and a number of other works . He also wrote a generalizing work, “Studies on the True Principles of the Art of Healing” ( French Recherches sur les vrais principes de l'art de guérir ; P., 1790).

His brother Antoine Fabre (1710-1793) enjoyed a certain fame as the author of church hymns, in 1743 , by order of the civil and church administration, Arles published a panegyric to this city.
