Baturino is a village in the Smolensk region of Russia , in the Safonovsky district . The population is 25 inhabitants ( 2007 ) [1] . It is located in the central part of the region, 14 km southeast of the city of Safonov , 6 km south of the M1 Belarus highway, on the banks of the Siga River. 5 km north of the village is Vysegor railway station on the Moscow - Minsk line . It is part of the Pushkin rural settlement.

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in September 1941 , liberated in 1943 . [2]
