Klemyatino (Kazulinsky rural settlement)

Klemyatino is a village in the Smolensk region of Russia , in the Safonovsky district . The population is 23 inhabitants ( 2007 ) [1] . It is located in the central part of the region, 27 km north-east of the city of Safonov , 15 km north of the M1 Belarus highway, on the banks of the Dnieper River. 19 km north of the village is the Mitino railway station on the Moscow - Minsk line . It is part of the Kazulinsky rural settlement.

History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in September 1941 , liberated in 1943 . [2]
