It is located in the central part of the region 28 km east of the city of Safonov , 6 km south of the Belarus highway M1 . 2 km north of the village railway station O.p. 286 km on the Moscow - Minsk line . It is part of the Ignatkovsky rural settlement.

History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in September 1941 , liberated in 1943 . [2]
