Maryino is a village in the Smolensk region of Russia , in the Safonovsky district . The population is 9 inhabitants ( 2007 ) [1] . It is located in the central part of the region 32 km east of the city of Safonov , 3.5 km south of the M1 Belarus highway, on the banks of the Dymytsa River. 0.5 km south of the village is the Alferovo railway station on the Moscow - Minsk line . It is part of the Zimnitsky rural settlement.

History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in September 1941 , liberated in 1943 . [2]
