Yvonne Marianne Elliman ( born Yvonne Marianne Elliman , born December 29, 1951 in Honolulu, Hawaii) is an American singer and actress (of Irish - Japanese descent), who was first known for participating in the original studio version of the rock opera Andrew Lloyd-Webber and Tim Rice " Jesus Christ is a superstar ", where she performed the arias of Mary Magdalene .
