Ilinden ( Maced. Opshtina Ilinden ) is a community in Northern Macedonia . Located in the northern part of the country. The population is 15,894 people ( 2002 ) [2] .

The administrative center is the village of Ilinden (until 1951 the village was called Belimbegovo ).
The area of the community is 97.02 km² [3] .
Borders on communities of Northern Macedonia:
- in the west - with the Skopje community ;
- in the north - with the community of Arachinovo ;
- in the east - with the community of Kumanovo ;
- in the south - with the community of Petrovets .
The community consists of 12 villages [3] : Ayvatovtsi , Buikovtsi , Bunardzhik , Buchintsi , Deladrovtsi , Ilinden , Kadino , Marino , Miladinovtsi , Mralino , Mrshevtsi and Tekiya .
Ethnic structure of the population in the community according to the 2002 census [2] :
- Macedonians - 13 959 people;
- Serbs - 912 people;
- gypsies - 428 people;
- Albanians - 352 people;
- Turks - 17 people .;
- Arumins - 1 person;
- the rest - 225 people.
On the territory of the community is the “Free Economic Zone Bunardzhik”.
