Biography
After graduating from St. Petersburg University, he was enlisted on June 8, 1884 as a cunker in the 6th naval crew. After passing the exams for the Maritime College course, he was promoted to midshipman [1] . C March 26, 1889 - flag officer of the headquarters of the commander of the Practical Squadron of the Baltic Sea.
Destroyer commander: Rochensalm (from April 3, 1895), Tosno (from June 13), Nargen (from July 19, 1895), No. 119 (from August 27, 1899).
From October 7, 1902 to October 10, 1905 - a marine agent in the United States [2] (took office on February 11, 1903). September 22, 1902 he was awarded the Order of St. Vladimir IV degree with a bow. December 6, 1902 "for distinction in service" was promoted to captain of the 2nd rank [3] .
Since February 20, 1906 - the commander of the mine cruiser "Horseman" . From April 9, 1906 to January 14, 1908 - commander of the messenger ship "Almaz" . December 6, 1907 promoted to captain of the 1st rank [4] . Cruiser Commander: Pallas (from December 8, 1908), Bayan (from November 22, 1910). December 6, 1910 awarded the Order of St. Vladimir III degree.
On May 7, 1913, he was appointed correcting the post of chief of the Kronstadt port. Since November 6, 1913 - Chief of Staff of the Kronstadt Port. December 6, 1913 promoted to rear admiral [1] . December 6, 1915 was awarded the Order of St. Anna of the I degree.
He was shot in Kronstadt during the February Revolution [5] . He was buried at the Nikolsky cemetery of the Alexander Nevsky Lavra [6] .
Family
He was married to Olga Nikolaevna Kaznakova (1867-1900) - maid of honor of Her Imperial Majesty [7] , daughter of the West Siberian Governor General N. G. Kaznakov .
Children:
- Elizabeth (1895-1944) - after the revolution emigrated to France. Died and buried in Cannes .
- Grigory (1897-1978) - captain of the 1st rank of the USSR Navy, participant in the Civil and Great Patriotic War .
- Catherine (1898-1942) - died in the besieged Leningrad . She was buried at Piskarevsky cemetery .
- Nicholas (1903-1977) - oil industry in Australia.
