Porenut ( lat. Porenutius ) - the deity of the Baltic Slavs . According to the Saxon Grammar , Porenut was one of the three main gods worshiped in Korenica , along with Ruyevit and Porevit .
The idol of Porenut stood on the island of Rugen in the city of Korenice. The annual solar cycle in the eyes according to the beliefs of the Baltic and Slavic Slavic tribes consisted in the dying and revival of the Sun, which Porenut took care of. Another interpretation - Porenut (Porevit) is one of the four hypostases of the four-headed god Svetovid , (the eastern head is Rugievit , the southern head is Porevit , the western head is Gerovit , and the northern head is Svarog itself . ) The Sanctuary of Svetovid was located on Cape Arkon .
The problem of the study of the pagan Slavic pantheon is the corpus of sources.
