Herman-Ludolf Tobisen by the definition of the St. Petersburg noble assembly of the parliament of 5.7.1839 is recognized as a hereditary noble dignity with the inclusion in the Noble genealogy book. His sons, Ivan and Augustus (? - 1885, major general from 05.20.1868) [1] Tobisens, lieutenants and Herman Tobisen Jr., were granted a diploma for hereditary noble dignity.

Emblem Description
The shield is divided into four parts. In the first silver field from the upper right to the lower left corner is a blue arc. In its middle, between two golden five-pointed stars, a golden crescent horns to the right. In the second part, in a golden field, a sword, point up. In the third, in a red field, a lying golden lion. In the fourth blue field is a silver fortress.
Above the shield, a noble crowned helmet. Crest - a hand turned to the right in silver armor with a sword. Bast blue, lined with gold and silver.
