Biography
Keenen Ivory Wayans was born on June 8, 1958 in New York in a large family (10 children). He studied at the college at the Institute "Tuskegee" in Alabama, but dropped out of training in order to fully devote himself to show business. At the initial stage of his career, he appeared in several television series like "California Highway Patrol" (TV series), "Blues Hill Street" (1981-1987) and played a cameo role in the film "Playboy Star" (1983). As a director, he made his debut with a comedy fighter, staged by his own handwritten script “I'll get you, bastard” (1988), in which he played the main role on his own. The picture was not a success. The comedy television series “In Lively Color” (1990-1994) brings him first fame in the United States.
