Big Paraty ( Mar. Kugu Porat ) - a former village in the Mari Territory , the former administrative center of the Bolsheparatskaya hundreds . In the XIX century, the village was divided into Old Paraty and New Paraty .
Earlier in the village was the center of the Bolsheparatskaya hundreds, the Mari settlement, later divided into Old Paraty (Cherkysola) and New Paraty (Sharacha), including Yantsitskino and Tomskino. A hundred is referred to as the Porat Volost of the Galician Road of Kazan County since the 17th century [1] . The hundred included the nearby settlements of Bizyurgub (Pyzyrgup), Ochakovo (Echaksola, Yyraҥyal), Malye Paraty (Chodrayal), Otymbal, Vakhotkino (Bakutsola), Imanaykino (Kozhlalӱval), Kabachishte (Parat, now the city of Zelenodol'sk , Tatarstan now in the territory of the Zelenodolsk district of the Republic of Tatarstan), Vasyutkino (Vatynyer), Kacheykino (Chopaysola), Kitunkino (Kytynsola), Morkiyaly (Morkyyal). Around the XVIII century, Small Paraty moved to another place and formed the Maloparatsky hundred .
