Morrison Plan - Grady

The Morrison – Grady Plan for the Partition of Palestine is a plan for the partition of Palestine developed by a commission of British and American representatives led by from the British side and from the American side.

According to this plan, the country was to be divided into four provinces: Arab, which included about 40% of the territory (including the north of the Negev), Jewish (about 17%) and two British - Jerusalem district and Negev (about 43%). [1] The central authority under this plan was concentrated in the hands of the British High Commissioner, with an executive committee composed of delegates from the Jewish and Arab provinces. Control over immigration to the country was to be carried out by the High Commissioner. In the future, these provinces could form a single federal state or independent states. [one]

This proposal was submitted to the UN in July 1946, but was rejected by both the Arab and Jewish parties.
