Hydrobiont ( Latin Hydrobiontes ; from the ancient Greek ὕδωρ - water + biont ) - an organism adapted to the habitat in the aquatic environment ( biotope ). Hydrobionts (aquatic organisms) are, for example, fish , sponges , shearing , echinoderms , most crustaceans and mollusks .

Definitions
Hydrobionts are marine and freshwater organisms that constantly inhabit the aquatic environment. Organisms living in the water are part of the life cycle, for example, the majority of amphibians , mosquitoes , dragonflies , etc.
Industrial fishing , aquarism and similar activities are engaged in aquatic organisms.
Hydrobiology
Hydrobiology - the science of life and biological processes in water.
Variety of hydrobionts
- Pelagic organisms - plants or animals that live in the thickness or on the surface of the water.
- n - plant or animal organisms living on the surface of the water, or semi-submerged.
- Reophiles are animals that have adapted to live in flowing waters.
- Necton is a collection of aquatic actively swimming organisms capable of withstanding the power of the current.
- Plankton are heterogeneous, mostly small organisms, freely drifting in the water column and unable to resist the flow.
- Benthos - a set of organisms that live on the soil and in the soil of the bottom of reservoirs.
Industrial use of hydrobionts
Industrial and amateur aquatic fisheries are engaged in the extraction of aquatic organisms. Natural water bodies and streams have long been subject to the impact of human economic activity. Recently, mainly for the XX-XXI centuries, aquaculture has also been widely developed - the cultivation of aquatic organisms in natural or artificial reservoirs.
