Imperial Japan Light Bomber "97"陸軍 九七 式 重 爆 撃 機 / 三菱 キ 21 ( Jap. Rikugun Kyu: -nana-shiki kei: bakugekiki / Mitsubishi ki-sanju ) [1] - an all-metal single-engine bomber of the Ground Forces of Imperial Japan of the Second World War. The symbol of the Allied Air Force is “Ann” ( “Ann” ), the Red Army Air Force - “LB-97”. Developed by the design team of the Mitsubishi Design Bureau (Kavanaugh, Oka and Mitsuno) under the supervision of Colonel Engineer Komamura. The first flight took place in early 1937 , was produced in a small series for the needs of the Ground Forces before the outbreak of World War II
