Biography
He studied at the Kamensk-Ural secondary school number 2. He graduated from the Ural Polytechnic Institute. S. M. Kirov in 1965 , Sverdlovsk Higher Party School in 1983 .
From 1960 to 1966 he was a fashion designer at the Ural Heavy Engineering Plant named after S. Ordzhonikidze ( Sverdlovsk ). From 1966 to 1968 - a process engineer, from 1968 to 1972 - the secretary of the Komsomol committee, from 1972 to 1975 - the head of the technical bureau, deputy head of the department, the main metallurgist.
From 1975 to 1978 - Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ural Electromechanical Plant (Sverdlovsk).
From 1978 to 1983 - the second, then the first secretary of the Kirov District Committee of the CPSU of Sverdlovsk. From 1983 to 1990 - First Secretary of the Sverdlovsk City Committee of the CPSU. From 1990 to 1991 (before the ban on the CPSU) - First Secretary of the Sverdlovsk Regional Committee of the CPSU. He was elected a member of the Central Committee of the CPSU (1990-1991).
He was elected a deputy of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR (1985-1990), a People's Deputy of the Russian Federation (1990-1993), and was a member of the Communists of Russia faction.
From 1992 to 1996, he was the Deputy Director of Uralmed JSC, General Director of the Russian Furnace Concern JSC, and from 1996 to 2000, he was the Deputy Director of the Sverdlovsk Branch of the Scientific Research and Design Institute of Energy Engineering (NIKIET) of the Ministry of Atomic Energy of the Russian Federation (the city of Yekaterinburg).
After the restoration of the Communist Party in the Sverdlovsk region, he was registered, and later (in the mid-1990s) he headed the Sverdlovsk branch of the Communist Party. He was a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party from 1997 to 2004 .
Twice - in 1995 and 1999 - ran for governor of the Sverdlovsk region. In 1995, he gained 8.06% of the vote and took 4th place, in 1999 - 9.64% and also 4th place.
On December 19, 1999 he was elected to the State Duma of the third convocation on the federal list of the electoral association of the Communist Party , was a member of the Communist Party faction, deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Ecology.
On December 7, 2003, he ran for the State Duma on the federal list of the Communist Party electoral association (was not elected), as well as on the Artyomovsky single-mandate constituency No. 161 of the Sverdlovsk region (took fourth place).
In 2004 - 2008 he was a deputy of the Regional Duma .
In 2004, took part in the alternative X Congress of the Communist Party . In this regard, the first secretary of the regional committee was removed from the post. June 27, 2005 was expelled from the party by decision of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Communist Party.
In 2008, he entered the first three of the Just Russia party's election list in the elections to the Regional Duma of the Sverdlovsk Region, but did not become a deputy.
He was buried at the Shirokorechensky cemetery in Yekaterinburg.

Family
He was married, the father of two daughters and a son. The son of Ivan Vladimirovich Kadochnikov is a well-known lawyer in the Urals [1] , a participant in many socially significant lawsuits, a legal journalist - Radio Komsomolskaya Pravda , where he regularly speaks, positions him as a “people's lawyer” [2] .
