Work in the Government of Georgia

Minister of Energy of Georgia in 2004-2007. Minister of Finance of Georgia in 2007-2009, First Deputy Prime Minister since December 2008. On January 30, 2009, President Mikheil Saakashvili was nominated as Prime Minister of Georgia. [1] . On February 6, he was approved in this post by the Parliament of Georgia. He served as head of government until June 30, 2012.
