Filming

The main role of the violinist Sashka was played by the violinist - laureate of international competitions, professor of the Ghent Conservatory Mikhail Bezverkhny . The film used music: Leo Smirnov, Mozart, Gluck, Shostakovich, Liszt, Lanner, Bach, Kuni, Schubert. The music in the film is performed by Mikhail Bezverkhniy (violin) and E. Steinberg (piano)

Criticism of the role of Alexander Trofimov :

In D. Meskhiev ’s film “Gambrinus,” Trofimov , not sparing his character, created a portrait of a taper of the Odessa eatery, making a diagnosis: neurasthenia of the revolution. "Revolutionary without pants" - in turn, they diagnose him. The actor provided the taper with a romantic Paganinievsky lock of hair falling on a haughty cheeky face with an eternal bull in the corner of his mouth. If the hero of Trofimov in this film is Bes, then from the novel by Dostoevsky . The devilishness of the revolution, the brutal energy of anarchism pour out under his thin long fingers into a diabolical jazz improvisation. He is a nihilist from the time of the International: to the foundation, and then ... He is Rodion Romanovich, who has been worn for half a century, of a new generation. A black coat and a zipped scarf hanging around the neck of Kuprin's “revolutionary” indicate a relationship with the Tagansky character of Trofimov. Defeated by his own revolution, her petrel angel in the final of the film is literally trampled by a bacchanal of terror into the mud. The tragic mask of the overthrown God grabs the rain with his mouth.
