Lyudmila Sergeevna Flam , Obolenskaya-Flam (nee Chernova ; born 1931 , Riga ) - Russian publicist, lives in the USA . Granddaughter of the writer and lawyer Peter Jacobi , great-great-granddaughter of Academician Boris Jacobi .

In 1944, she and her family ended up in Germany. After World War II, she graduated from a gymnasium in Munich and joined the People's Labor Union . She lived in Casablanca , London , Paris , in 1954 again settled in Munich, where she married the journalist of Radio Liberty Valerian Alexandrovich Obolensky (1925-1977) and joined the European edition of the radio station Voice of America , then since 1975 worked at the central office of a radio station in New York . She worked on the radio for about 40 years, having gone from the speaker to the head of the department.
In 1980, three years after the death of her first husband, she married an American diplomat, Eli Flam, who was appointed cultural attache in Madrid, where at that time there was a long conference on Cooperation and Security in Europe (CSCE), the meetings of which, with an emphasis on rights human, Ludmila covered for the "Voice of America" throughout her stay in Spain.

In 2014, she published a book of memoirs about her family, devoting it to her grandfather: “Lawyer P.N. Jacobi and his family: memories” [1] .
