Biography

The eighth child in a peasant family. Breton was his mother tongue, he learned French at school. In 1929 he moved to Paris, entered the Ecole Normal . In 1933, after eight days of fasting, he was released from military service. [1] In 1934 he visited the USSR , did not accept the Soviet order. During the Second World War, he was brought to work on the Vichy Regime : compiled reports of foreign radio programs. C 1944 collaborated with the press of the Resistance . After the war he joined the Federation of Anarchists, in the book “The False Word” ( 1953 ) analyzed the experience of his work on the radio. He translated, led a cycle of radio programs about the poets of the world, traveled a lot.

Under unclear circumstances, he was arrested by the police (he was always in a bad relationship with her) and died in the clinic at the police prefecture. Part of them written while disappeared.

Creativity

He owned more than twenty languages. He translated poems and prose from Chinese ( Du Fu ), Persian ( Omar Khayyam ), English ( Shakespeare , Kits ), German ( Gottfried Keller ), Italian ( Montale , Ungaretti ), Hungarian ( Andre Adi ), Polish ( Mickiewicz ), Russian ( Blok , Mayakovsky , Yesenin , Pasternak , Remizov ).

Much of what was written by Robin was published only posthumously. His correspondence with J.Superviel and other writers was printed.
