Ryasiy [1] (also Riasiy , Greek ῥύαξ - lava flow) is the second geological period of the Paleoproterozoic era . It lasted from 2300 to 2050 million years ago. The chronological dating is not based on stratigraphy [2] .
The Bushveld complex and other similar intrusions are formed .
At the end of the Ryas period (over 2100 million years to date), the Huron glaciation ends.
