Story

In his book, John Hartford tells a fascinating, non-fictional story about a little-known case in the life of the famous steamer of the Ohio River , which occurred around 1910 . According to the plot of the book, the ship "Virginia" ( English the Virginia ) once because of a flood on the Ohio River ended up on a corn field. After the water receded, the ship remained on the shore and later became a local attraction , the subject of folk stories and old street songs.
The book includes a huge number of old photographs and various maps in order to allow the reader to imagine as much as possible the appearance of the ship and trace its route . The plot of the book ends with a literary code , in which the author describes the fate of the heroes of this unusual story. [2]
