History
In 1984, Moldova received the right to declare three teams in the second league of the USSR Championship . At that time, there were two teams: Avtomobilist ( Tiraspol ) and Pishevik ( Bender ). As a third team, a new team was formed in Balti, called “Dawn”. The club played in the second league of the USSR championship before the collapse of the Soviet Union.
The first coach of the team was Ivan Danilyants , who later led the national team of Moldova . The team was played by such famous football players as Nikolai Chebotar, the FFM General Secretary; Alexander Matsyura is now the second coach of the Russian club Rubin (Kazan) , who also led the national team of Moldova; Igor Tyunikov, a defender, who subsequently successfully played for the Chisinau Nistra and other recognized masters.
After the first part of the 2012/13 season, the club decided to remove the team from the championship. On March 1, 2013, club owner Sergei Kiselyov announced that the removal of the Olimpia and Olimpia-2 teams was a protest against Cebanu and his system. But on March 7, 2013, the same Sergey Kiselyov apologized to the FFM president Pavel Cebanu and the Olympia club returned to the Moldavian Championship, playing mainly with 17-year-old players, pupils of the Balti football school [2] .
Before the start of the 2014/15 season, the club began to be called "Dawn" [3] . At the end of the season, the team took 9th place [4] .
In the final of the Moldavian Cup 2015/16, the team 1-0 defeated the Orsey club Milsami and won the trophy for the first time [5] . In June of the same year, the club was headed by Moldovan specialist Vlad Goian [6] .
On May 25, 2017, the team played in the Moldova Cup finals and lost 5–0 to the Sheriff football club [7] .
