Atyashevo

Atyashevo ( ers. Otyazhvele ) is an urban-type settlement , the administrative center of the Atyashevsky district of Mordovia . Atyashevsk urban settlement forms the same municipality as the only settlement in its composition [4] . Railway station on the line Red Knot - Kanash .

Content

Geography

It is located 80 km from Saransk, which is connected to the Saransk - Ardatov highway, the Gorky railway station.

History

It was founded in 1894 in connection with the construction of the Moscow-Kazan Railway, a section of which was carried out near the village of Atyashev (hence the name).

According to the "List of Populated Places of the Simbirsk Province" (1913) at the Atyashevo station, there were 2 yards (19 people); there was a roller mill by A.I. Kulagin. On October 1.5.1919, the propaganda train of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee “October Revolution” stopped at the station.

Since 1928 - the district center.

In 1963 it was transformed into a working village .
