History
In February 1996, the Portuguese bank of Totta and Asores ( port. Banco Totta & Açores ) opened its first branch in the city of Praia . Later, the bank was renamed BTCV - Totta Bank in Cape Verde ( port. Banco Totta de Cabo Verde ).
In January 2003, two more branches were opened in the cities of Mindelo and Assomada .
In October 2004, a controlling stake in the bank was acquired by SEPI, the Social Society for Research and Investment Investing ( port Sociedade de Estudos e Promoção de Investimentos ).
In February 2005, the bank was renamed BCN - Business Bank Cape Verde. [one]
