Biography
His full name is al-Arif Billah Shihabuddin Abul-Abbas Ahmad ibn Umar Ali al-Khazragi al-Ansari al-Mursi al-Balansi.
Born in 1219 in Spain , raised in Murcia , in connection with which he was nicknamed El Mursi . Since 1243, Abul-Abbas was a student and follower of Sidi Abu al-Hassan al-Shazli, the founder of the Sufi order of Shazil . In 1245 he arrived in Alexandria, where he lived in the Com El Decca region 36 years before his death in 1286 .
On the site of the grave of Abul Abbas, a mosque was built, known as the mosque of El Mursi Abul Abbas and has now become one of the attractions of Alexandria.
