Note: In the second half, in the 67th minute when the score was 1-0 in favor of Brazil (goal was scored by Karek in the 50th minute), Chilean goalkeeper Roberto Rojas simulated an injury allegedly inflicted on him from a petard thrown from the rostrum, after which the Chile team refused to continue playing . After an investigation, FIFA awarded Brazil a 2-0 win and disqualified the national team of Chile for the next qualifying round, and Rojas himself for life (in 2001 the suspension was lifted).
