Marianne Andersen ( Norwegian. Marianne Andersen ; March 26, 1980 , Drammen , Norway ) - Norwegian orienteer , medalist of the World and European Orienteering Championships [1] .

Marianne won 17 medals at the World and European Championships [2] . Twenty times rose to the highest step of the podium at the championships of Norway. From 2011 to 2015, Andersen did not compete, mainly due to injury. In 2016, she continued her career, having won the national championship again and won a place in the national team at the World Cup. In 2017, at the World Championships she took second place in the middle distance, thereby putting the next medal in her piggy bank. This was her first medal after a long break.
It has the largest training volume (900 hours per year) among all orienteers [1] . He likes to train early in the morning, starting training before 7 in the morning. He independently learns the Finnish language [1] .
