Uilsky district ( Kaz. Oyyl audany ) is an administrative-territorial unit of the second level in the west of the Aktobe region of Kazakhstan . The administrative center of the district is the village of Wil .

Physico-geographical characteristics
The relief of the territory is an erosion-denudation plain, the central part is divided by ravines. Along the river valleys are sandy massifs. The surface is composed of Upper Cretaceous deposits. Deposits of oil, gas, gypsum, limestone, gravel. The climate is continental. The average temperatures in January are -14 ... -16 Β° C, July - 22 ... 24 Β° C. Precipitation is 200β250 mm per year. The Wil river flows along the territory of the district with tributaries of Aschoyoil , Kiyl , Kayyndy and others. There are many small lakes (Kamyskol, Sorkol, etc.). Significant groundwater reserves. The soil is light and dark chestnut solonetzic. Wormwood, fescue, sheep, chia, wheatgrass grow in the sands of Barkan - pine forests. The wolf, fox, corsac, saiga, wild boar, gopher, hamster, duck, goose, bustard and others inhabit [4]
History
For the first time, the Wilsky district was formed as part of the Aktobe province on November 19, 1921 on the basis of the Wilsky district . July 27, 1922 was abolished.
On May 14, 1927, the Uilsky district was recreated as part of the Adaevsky district (since 1928 - the Adaevsky district ). On April 10, 1929, the Wilsky district was transferred to the Aktobe district , which remained until its liquidation in 1930, after which it became directly subordinate to the Kazak Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic . February 20, 1932 Uilsky district became part of the Ural region , but on July 4 was transferred to the Aktobe region [5] .
In January 1963, the Wilsky region was abolished, but in December 1964 it was restored [6] .
