History

In Soviet times, the club was called SKIF (Sports Club of the Institute of Physical Education) and periodically participated in the championship of one of the lower leagues. From the moment of formation of the Armenian Championship, the club got a place in the highest league, then the club was called ASS-SKIF, which lasted until the 1994 season , in which the team took 4th place. In the following three seasons, the club name was the abbreviation ACC (Armenian Sports Union).

In 1997, the name of the fortress city in the ancient state of Urartu , as well as the district of Yerevan - Erebuni, is added to the abbreviation. In the same season, the team won bronze medals in the championship, which, as it turns out, will remain the only ones in the long history of the club. In 1999, before the start of the championship , the name will change for the last time to Erebuni, and at the end of the year the club will be disbanded.

On February 3, 2009, it appears that the club is being revived and will take part in the First League of the Armenian Championship. The club management formed a club in the city of Dilijan , which spent the season in the First League, taking first place and retiring to the Premier League.
