Short story
Scary Movie
Scary Movie (July 7, 2000) is the first movie. Scary Movie is the highest grossing film in the history of the series, about $ 278,019,771 worldwide. The movie was shot based on other horror films that have been released before, but some details were used for fun ( Scream ) [1] .
After a group of teenagers - Cindy Campbell ( Anna Faris ), Bobby Princes ( John Abrahams ), Buffy Gilmore ( Shannon Elizabeth ), Greg Phillip ( Lochlin Munroe ), Ray Wilkins ( Shawn Wayans ), Small Mix ( Marlon Wayans ) and Brenda Mix ( Regina Hall ) - they accidentally hit a man with their car, they decide to throw him into the lake and never talk about it again (a parody of I know what you did last summer ). A few years later, a “masked man” kills them one by one. They decide to find out who the killer is.
Scary Movie 2
Scary Movie 2 (July 6, 2001) is the second in a series. In the United States, the film raised $ 71,308,997. Around the world - $ 141,220,678. Although it is good in its own way, but of the four parts of the Scary Movie, this is considered the least successful so far [2] . Not only because it is the second and last Very Scary Movie that received an R rating, but also because this film also marks the end of the Wayans siblings' participation in the series, because they switched to other projects, including the 2004 comedy White Chicks .
The film begins with a parody of the Exorcist : a little girl named Meghan Voorhees (the namesake of the infamous fictional serial killer Jason Voorhees ) is obsessed with the devil, and two priests, Father McFilay and Father Harris ( James Woods and Andy Richter, respectively) must expel him. But, after Megan insults Harris's mother, he shoots her in the head.
All the characters who mysteriously died in the first part are alive and well in this film, plus new characters join them: Buddy ( Christopher Masterson ), Theo ( Kathleen Robertson ) and Alex ( Tori Spelling ).
The story begins with college professor Professor Oldman ( Tim Curry ) and his wheelchair assistant Dwight ( David Cross ) planning to study ghosts in the mansion, using teens as bait.
Strange things happen in the house: a clown attacks Rhea, Melky attacks a revived plant , Cindy starts a fight with an obsessed cat, and Dwight argues with a swindling parrot. When everyone finds out about the professor’s plan, they try to escape from the house, and a ghost is discovered, still living in the mansion. The guys must defeat the ghost before they can get out.
Scary Movie 3
Scary Movie 3 (October 24, 2003) is the third movie in the series. With $ 220,673,217 from around the world [3] , this is the second most successful / popular film of the series. The plot of the film is a combination of parodies on the Bell , Signs and other films / celebrities. Michael Jackson wanted to sue filmmakers for showing him in such a way that he looked like a pedophile. [4] It was the first Very Scary Movie to receive a PG-13 rating in the United States [3] (and the first to have none of Wayans s), since the first two were rated R [5] [6] . This happened because, starting with this part, the content of the films has become more balanced.
Knixen towards Signs : the plot revolves around some strange crop circles found near an old farm. And knixen in the direction of the Bell : a strange video appears here and there, and when you watch it, the phone rings and an eerie voice says: “You will die in seven days.” The denouement is getting closer and closer when Cindy just falls in love with a rapper named George (a parody of Eminem ) and finds out that she will die in seven days.
Meanwhile, farmers who find strange circles in their field will find out that the aliens who flew to Earth want to destroy the killer, killing people who watched the tape.
Scary Movie 4
Scary Movie 4 (April 14, 2006) 4th in the series. The film raised $ 40 million over the first weekend, making it the third best discovery in the series. With $ 178,049,620 in worldwide box office, Scary Movie 4 takes third place among other parts.
The main plot of this film is the film “War of the Worlds” with an admixture of parodies of Saw , Mysterious Forest and Million Dollar Baby .
Scary Movie 5
The original release of the picture was planned for 2008, however, in connection with work on the film " Superhero Cinema ", it was postponed until the fall of 2009. In the future, the release of the film was repeatedly postponed: first - in October 2011, then - in April 2012. There was no other information about the picture from The Weinstein Co film company: only rumors circulated on the Internet, as well as some amateur posters and trailers. It was assumed that the film will be directed by director of the 3rd and 4th parts of the franchise David Zucker , and Anna Faris , Regina Hall and Anthony Anderson will return to the main roles. However, it became known that the film will be directed by Malcolm D. Lee, a cousin of director Spike Lee . David Zucker acted as co-writer and co-producer of the tape. The film was attended by Lindsay Lohan , Charlie Sheen , Ashley Tisdale . Anna Faris refused to shoot in the 5th part of the franchise.
