Samuel Bode [1] Miller ( born Samuel Bode Miller , born October 12, 1977 in Easton , New Hampshire , USA ) is an American skier , 2010 Olympic champion in super-combination, 4-time world champion, two-time World Cup winner in the overall classification. By the number of Olympic awards (6) in the history of skiing, it is second only to the Norwegian Chetil Andre Omodt (8). The oldest Olympic medalist in skiing in history. Record holder in the history of the World Cup in the number of starts (438).

General Information
He made his World Cup debut on November 20, 1997 in American Park City and immediately took 11th place in the giant slalom. First up on the podium at the stages of the World Cup in December 2000 in the French Val d'Isere . There, a year later, Bode won the first victory (giant slalom).
On February 16, 2014, he won 33 victories in his World Cup stages (downhill - 8, super giant - 5, giant slalom - 9, slalom - 5, combination / super combination - 6), 79 times in the top three. By total number at the stages of victories, Miller takes 7th place in the history of the World Cup. In addition, Miller is one of 5 skiers (along with Pyrmin Zurbriggen , Mark Girardelli , Gunther Mader and Chetil Andre Omodt ), who won all modern skiing disciplines. At the same time, Miller is the only one who won at least five victories in each of the disciplines.
Along with Phil Mare, Miller is the most successful American in the history of World Cups and Championships.
Miller participated in 5 Olympics (1998, 2002, 2006, 2010 and 2014), where he won six medals - 1 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze. He is the only American to win 6 alpine skiing Olympic medals in his career. After the 2009/10 season, Miller was thinking about ending his ski career, but decided to continue to compete [2] . At the beginning of the 2013/14 season, Bode returned to the World Cup after an injury, on December 8, 2013 he climbed the podium, becoming the second in giant slalom in the American Beaver Creek. Miller completely missed the 2014/15 season in the World Cup, his only start was the super giant on February 5, 2015 at the World Championships in Weil / Beaver Creek, in which he failed to finish due to an injury. In October 2015, Miller announced that he would skip the 2015/16 season, but emphasized that he was not talking about ending his career, although Bode was 38 years old in October 2015.
Personal life
Miller has a daughter, Nisin Dacey "Dace" Miller ( born February 19, 2008) [3] by Chanel Johnson, and her son Samuel Bode "Nate" Miller ( born Samuel Bode "Nate" Miller , born February 23, 2013) [4] from Sarah Mackenna. On October 7, 2012, Bode married model and beach volleyball player Morgan Beck (born 1987) in San Diego . Miller and Beck have three children - son Nash Scan Miller (born May 18, 2015) [5] , daughter Emeline Grier βEmmyβ Miller (born November 05, 2016) and son Easton Won Rivers Miller (October 5, 2018) [6] . On June 11, 2018, Millerβs 19-month-old daughter Emmy died while drowning in a pool. [ 13 ] On August 13, 2019, they announced pregnancy.

Interesting Facts
In 2005, in Bormio , Miller unfastened his left ski 15 seconds after the start, but the American not only stood on his feet, but also continued to descend for more than 1.5 minutes, passing all the gates according to the rules, showing at one of the sections speed over 80 km / h, until finally fell shortly before the finish line.
