Melbourne Zoo ( English Royal Melbourne Zoological Gardens, Melbourne Zoo ) - Australia's oldest zoo . It presents more than 320 species of animals from Australia and from around the world.

The zoo is located 4 km north of the center of Melbourne .

History

The zoo was founded in 1862 in the Royal Park, and covered an area of ​​22 hectares (55 acres). Earlier animals were kept in the botanical gardens of Melbourne.

Queenie
