History
It was formed in May 1942 on the basis of the 16th separate mortar battalion of the Karelian Front .
As part of the army from 05/26/1942 to 12/13/1944 .
By formation, he was in the defense zone of the 32nd Army in Karelia . He led the defense in Karelia until June 1944 , then was transferred to the Svir River line, where he took part in the Svir-Petrozavodsk operation, and then, after its completion, was transferred to the Arctic, where he took part in the Petsamo-Kirkenes operation. During operations, he acted as part of the 127th light mountain rifle corps .
01/12/1945 converted into the 173rd Guards mortar regiment .
