Luther argues that conscious Christians must not only be baptized , but also receive communion at least four times a year, and also know the Ten Commandments , the prayer of Our Father and the Creed . In the catechism (in the translation of the Creed into German), Luther rejects the term "Catholic Church" and replaces it with the "Christian Church" ( German christliche Kirche ). Luther also points out the need for confession, short prayers in the morning, evening, before and after meals. Not denied the sign of the cross .
