Biography
Zokora began his career in Côte d'Ivoire at the ASEC Mimozas Academy. In 2000, he moved abroad to play for the Belgian Genk team and won the Belgian championship in the 2001/02 season, where Sef Vergossenn was the coach and Wesley Sonck was the top scorer. In the summer of 2004, he went to play for Saint Etienne in France.
Tottenham bought Zokora for 8.2 million euros in the summer of 2006. As a result of his game at the World Cup for Côte d'Ivoire, Zokora wanted to get Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal, but he rejected their offers [2] .
