Team building (1991)

Soon after the first mini-football championship of the USSR, the first ever national team meeting of the USSR national mini-football team was held. It was held in Rostov-on-Don from March 24 to March 31, 1991. The team played five games with local teams and won each of them. Hungary became the first opponent in the history of the USSR in international mini-football matches. The match took place on April 24, 1991, and the Soviet players won with a score of 6: 2. The following international matches the USSR national team held in October at the next tournament organized by the Italian Football Federation in Ancona . First Test (1992)

The CIS mini-football team made its debut in international matches in Moscow at a friendly tournament with the participation of teams of Latvia , Slovakia and Italy . Soon, the CIS players went to Spain for a debut in official matches as part of the selection for the 1992 World Cup . They were to meet with teams of Poland , Spain , Czechoslovakia and Hungary . Already the first two matches showed that the task of reaching the final stage would be difficult: the players of the CIS tied with the Poles and lost to the Spaniards. Preparing for a trip to Hong Kong has already started the Russian national team in futsal. The Russians played their first match in the Netherlands at an international tournament with the participation of the teams of Belgium , Czechoslovakia and Holland . At the group stage of the European Championship 2012, Russia defeated Turkey 5: 0 and played a draw with Italy 2: 2, which was enough to get out of first place. In the quarterfinals, Russia beat Serbia 2: 1 in a stubborn match, in the semi-finals of the hosts Croatia 2: 4.

At the 2014 European Championships, Russia beat the Netherlands 7: 1 in a group and tied with Portugal 4: 4, which was again enough to get out of first place. Then followed the defeat of Romania in the quarter-finals 6: 0. In the semifinals, Russia met with the Spanish national team. Leading with a score of 3: 2, Russia missed again at the moment when the Spaniards played with five of them. Overtime again. This time Russia scored a goal and led 4: 3. Spain has not won back.

In the final, Russia met with Italy. After the first half the score was 1: 3 in favor of Italy. For the second half the score has not changed.

At the European Championships in 2016, Russia conducted the hardest group stage, beating the Kazakhstan team 2: 1, which later became the bronze medalist, and then tied with Croatia 2: 2. This was again enough to exit from the first place. In the quarterfinals, the Azerbaijani team 6: 2 was defeated. The most difficult match was the confrontation with the hosts of the tournament Serbia. Russia was able to win only in extra time 3: 2.

In the final, Russia was confronted by Spain. A lot of ridiculous defense mistakes led to four goals in the first half, and only one answered Russia. Most of the time of the second half, Russia played with five of them, but got 3 goals in the empty net, scoring only two. Match result 3: 7. World Cup Silver Medals (2016)

The 2016 World Championships in Colombia became historic for Russia: Sergey Skorovich’s team reached the final, winning all six matches on its way to it. In the application of the Russian team of 14 players were 4 Brazilians: Gustavo, Robinho, Eder Lima and Romulo. Cirilo before the tournament was injured and was expelled. In the final, the Russians were waiting for the team of Argentina: after the first half, the Argentines were 2: 1, equalizing the score immediately after the Russians goal (scored by Eder Lima) and implementing a 10-meter at the end. In the second half, Russia, with the efforts of Eder Lima, equalized the score and so quickly missed two goals. Then Russia started the game with five of them and soon got the fifth ball into an empty net. Only after this, the team of Sergey Skorovich switched to decisive actions: Dmitry Lyskov played one ball, and 19 seconds before the whistle, Eder Lima scored and the fourth goal of the national team, filling out his hat-trick, but there was no time left for the Russians. Argentina won the world championship for the first time in history, and for the first time to the same and even in the final. Russia won silver medals and improved its personal record: the last time the World Cup medals were taken by the Russians exactly 20 years ago.

For the first time, Brazilians were called to the Russian national team in 2005. In 2007, Brazilian Dynamo players Pele Junior and Cirilo went to the European Futsal Championship in Portugal . Two Brazilians also went to the 2008 World Cup , this time Cirilo and Pula . The last with 16 balls scored became the top scorer of the tournament.

At the end of 2009, four Brazilians were already called up for friendly matches against the Czech national team - the TTG-Ugra players Robinho and Eder Lima were added.
