History

Team building (1991)

Soon after the first mini-football championship of the USSR, the first ever national team meeting of the USSR national mini-football team was held. It was held in Rostov-on-Don from March 24 to March 31, 1991. The team played five games with local teams and won each of them. Having received an invitation from the Italian Football Federation , the USSR national team soon went to Agrigento for its first international tournament with the participation of Italy , Hungary and Czechoslovakia . The composition of the team was as follows:

V. Vladyuschenkov , I. Semenov , A. Verizhnikov , A. Baboshkin , A. Gartinsky (all - “KSM-24” Moscow), I. Dolgaryov (“Agros-Intex” Chisinau), Y. Maslakov , M. Dubinin ( both - “Metallurg” Aldan) , O. Solodovnik , K. Eremenko (both - “Mechanic” Dnepropetrovsk), S. Koschug ([“Valeology”] - Chisinau), R. Ali-Zade ( “Neftchi” Baku ); coach - A. Rymko, head of the delegation - S. Andreev

Hungary became the first opponent in the history of the USSR in international mini-football matches. The match took place on April 24, 1991, and the Soviet players won with a score of 6: 2. The first goal in the history of the national team was scored by Andrei Baboshkin . Also already then Konstantin Eremenko distinguished himself, who would later become the leader of the Russian national team for many years. In the final of the USSR national team tournament, they were to meet with the mistress of the Italian national team tournament. Yielding to the match, the Soviet players eventually pulled out a victory with a score of 5-4. Konstantin Eremenko this time noted a hat-trick.

The following international matches the USSR national team held in October at the next tournament organized by the Italian Football Federation in Ancona . In the semifinals, with a score of 8: 0, the Belgian team was defeated, and in the final it was again opposed by the Italians . In the main time of the match, the score was never opened, and in a penalty shootout, the Soviet players again snatched the win from the hosts. It was the last match in the history of the USSR national mini-football team. Thus, in its short history, she won in each of the international matches played.

First Test (1992)

Konstantin Eremenko (1970—2010) - the best scorer in the history of the national team

The CIS mini-football team made its debut in international matches in Moscow at a friendly tournament with the participation of teams of Latvia , Slovakia and Italy . The new team continued the undertaking of its predecessor and won in all matches. In its first match, the CIS team on March 19 beat the Latvian team - 4: 1.

Soon, the CIS players went to Spain for a debut in official matches as part of the selection for the 1992 World Cup . They were to meet with teams of Poland , Spain , Czechoslovakia and Hungary . Already the first two matches showed that the task of reaching the final stage would be difficult: the players of the CIS tied with the Poles and lost to the Spaniards. Having won against the Czechoslovakians, they had to take at least a draw in the match with the Hungarians. A few minutes before the end of the match, the Hungarian national team was ahead, but Konstantin Eremenko's goal allowed the CIS team to snatch a ticket to the world championship.

Preparing for a trip to Hong Kong has already started the Russian national team in futsal. The Russians played their first match in the Netherlands at an international tournament with the participation of the teams of Belgium , Czechoslovakia and Holland . The first match the Russians played against the Belgians and won with a score of 6: 4. But the defeat of the owners allowed them to take only second place in the tournament.

Of the footballers who went to Hong Kong, eight at once represented the newly created Moscow club Dina . Among them, Boris Chukhlov and Alexei Stepanov , who once became USSR champions in football as part of the Leningrad " Zenith ". Two more players each delegated to the team the Moscow KSM-24 and the Chelyabinsk Phoenix .

The first game at the World Cup 92 Russian team played against the US team , the bronze medalist of the previous championship. Suddenly, the Russians lost with a large score of 3: 8, but did not lose the chances of reaching the next stage. The next match was against the Chinese team , and now it was the turn of the Russians to smash the opponent - 10: 1. Seven goals recorded at his own expense Konstantin Eremenko. Decisive was the match against Spain , which won before both fights. Like the match against the Chinese, he became a benefit to Eremenko, who scored six goals, but that was enough only for a 7: 7 draw, which the Russian team did not suit. Thus, the Russians finished their performance at the tournament. The brightest moment in it was the game of Konstantin Eremenko, who scored fifteen goals in three games and nearly became the top scorer of the tournament. As a result, he scored on a smaller ball than Iranian Rajabi-Shirazi, although he played only three matches instead of eight, played by Iranians and other semi-finalists of the tournament.

The first medals (1995–1996)

After the Hong Kong championship of the planet, the team did not meet for more than three years. Such a break was caused by the absence of any official tournaments, because the European Championships had not yet been held. At this time there was a development of the championship of Russia and the formation of the "golden" " Dina ", for many years the team became the basic club. In addition to Konstantin Eremenko , Temur Alekberov , Arkady Bely , Alexander Verizhnikov , Dmitry Gorin and Oleg Denisov , who formed the backbone of the national team, shone in it.

Arkady Bely - one of the leaders of the Russian national team of the 90s

In October 1995, the Russians were to qualify for the experimental European Championship , which in turn was the selection for the 1996 World Championship . Their rivals in the qualifying group were the teams of Belgium , Belarus , Moldova and Slovenia . The Russians struggled to win the first match of the selection, defeating the Belgians with a score of 6: 5, but all subsequent matches were won with a solid advantage, and in the match with the Moldovans the score was 31: 0.

In the group stage of the debut European Championship , the national teams of Ukraine and Italy became rivals of the Russian national team. In a tense match, the Russians defeated the Ukrainians with a score of 3: 2, and the Italians, thanks to hat-trick Eremenko, were defeated with a score of 5: 1. In the semifinals, the Russians carried out another defeat, defeating the Belgians with a score of 6: 2. A double in addition to Eremenko was then noted by Alexey Kiselyov - one of the few scorers of the national team of that time who had never played for Dinu . He distinguished himself in the final of the tournament against the Spaniards , but this was not enough for the Russians to win. Poker Vicentin brought the hosts a victory with a score of 5: 3. Nevertheless, according to the results of the tournament, the Russians not only qualified for the World Cup , but also won the first medals in their history.

In November 1996, the Russian team returned to Spain to participate in the world championship . At the first stage, the teams of the Netherlands , Argentina and China became its rivals. The start of the tournament turned out to be alarming for the Russians: not a single victory in the first two matches, fights against the Dutch and Argentines ended with the same score 2: 2. However, the defeat of the Chinese with a score of 11: 1 allowed the Russian team to take second place in their group after the Netherlands national team and go to the next round. There she waited teams of Spain , Italy and Belgium . Despite losing to the Spaniards (0: 2), in the next two matches, the Russians beat the Italians (3: 0) and the Belgians (6: 2), making their way to the semi-finals. In these victorious games, the only representative of the national team from the non-Moscow club Vadim Yashin , who played for the Ekaterinburg VIZ , was then noted.

In the semifinals, the Russian national team with a score of 2: 6 lost to the Brazilian national team , which subsequently beat the Spanish national team in the final. The Russians also waited for the match for third place against the Ukrainians . The fight in the match went to the last seconds, but thanks to the double of Arkady Bely, the Russian team won the first and until 2014 the only medals of the World Championship in its history.

Path to the top of Europe (1998–1999)

Mikhail Bondarev - the head coach of the "golden" team

In late 1998, qualifying matches for the European futsal championship were held in Moscow . The Russians in the qualifying group were only two teams - the teams of Slovenia and Greece, who were simply swept from their path by the masters. The Greeks were beaten with the score 24: 0, the Slovenes - with the score 7: 0 (five goals in the account Eremenko), and the Russians went to the final stage of the tournament.

Almost all Russians who went to the European Championships in 1999 represented the Moscow Dinu , so it is not surprising that they were headed by the head coach of the Moscow Grand Mikhail Bondarev . The only player not from “Dina” who appeared on the parquet floors of Spain was the “visitor” Denis Agafonov .

Russian teams in the group stage were the teams of Italy , Belgium and Portugal . The first match was against the Italians. Thanks to the double of Eremenko, the Russians led by two goals four minutes before the end of the match, but in the end the Italians managed to snatch a 3: 3 draw. The match with the Belgians also turned out to be tense, but in the end the Russian team put the squeeze on the opponent and won with a crushing 5-1 score. The winning goal recorded at his own expense Agafonov . In the last match of the group stage, the Russians beat the Portuguese with the score 3: 1 and reached the semifinals.

Rival of the Russian national team in the semi-final was the Dutch national team . The match turned out to be very rich in goals, but the Russians have been throughout the meeting and brought the score to a victorious 9: 6. Eremenko recorded the poker on his own account, Mikhail Markin scored a double, Dmitry Gorin , Temur Alekberov and Alexander Verizhnikov scored one goal each.

In the finals, the Russians, as well as at the previous European Championships, were waiting for the Spanish team's home team . Javier Lorente led the Spaniards ahead in the seventh minute, his goal remained the only one in the first half. At the twenty-eighth minute of the match, Arkady White managed to level the score, and four minutes later Verizhnikov and Alekberov played an excellent combination, as a result of which the last rally sent the ball into the home team - 2: 1. However, after a moment, Xavi Sanchez punished the Russians for losing the ball in his own penalty area and equalized the score. However, the Russians immediately came forward again: the Spaniards exceeded the limit of violations, and Eremenko confidently implemented a twelve-meter strike. But after that, the Spaniards were not long in the role of catching up: Javier Lorente designed a double.

After the shock three-minute, for which each team scored two goals, followed by a lull. At the end of the main 40 minutes of the match, two five-minute overtime followed, but more goals from the game did not happen that evening. Spanish spectators were awaited by a penalty shootout and a duel between two goalkeepers: Jesus vs. Oleg Denisov . The first number of the Russian national team managed to repel two strikes of the Spaniards, while Jesus was unable to counter anything with the blows of Gorin , Verizhnikov and Alekberov . The point in the match put a powerful shot Eremenko , who issued the first and so far the only championship of the Russian team.

Fourth in Guatemala (2000)

As part of the selection for the World Cup in 2000, the European champions defeated the national teams of Latvia (3: 0), Macedonia (10: 0) and Belgium (1: 0). Then, in a tense struggle, the Russians beat the home team of the qualifying round against Poland (2: 1) and completed the selection task.

The backbone of the national team that went to the world championship in Guatemala , as before, were the players of Dina . He made his debut in high-level tournaments of the young “Dinovets” Boris Kupetskov . Other teams were represented by Denis Agafonov ( VIZ ), Vladislav Schuchko (“ Norilsk Nickel ”), Sergey Malyshev and Gennady Ionov (both - “ GKI-Gazprom ”).

Russians overcame the stage of the first round without any particular problems, alternately defeating Croats (4: 2), Costa Ricans (6: 1) and Australians (10: 1). Difficulties awaited them in the next round, where the teams of Brazil , Argentina and Egypt became their rivals. Initially, the Russians with a score of 7: 1 defeated the Argentines, and nothing foreshadowed trouble. But the loss to the Egyptians (4: 6) sharply questioned the further tournament advancement of the team of Mikhail Bondarev . In the last match of the round, the Russians lost 2: 6 to the Brazilians, but a little earlier the Argentines defeated the Egyptians. Thus, the three teams of the group immediately scored 3 points, but the defeat made by the Argentines allowed the Russians to score the best goal difference and reach the semi-finals.

In the semifinals, the Russians were expected by the well-known Spanish team . Verizhnikov's double seemed to translate the game into extra time, but in the last minute of the match Daniel brought victory to the Spaniards. Like four years ago, the Russians gave way to future world champions.

In addition to calling the Brazilian, the composition of the national team for these games is notable for the first time that Sergey Sergeev and Marat Azizov from CSKA , as well as Pavel Kobzar from Dynamo , entered it.

The Russians confidently passed the selection, alternately defeating the national teams of Latvia (4: 1), Greece (8: 0) and Hungary (5: 0). The army newcomers of the national team were marked with goals scored, just like Kobzar . And the top scorer with four goals scored was another Dynamo Konstantin Mayevsky .

In the first match of the final stage of the tournament, the Russian team met with the national team of Serbia . Brazilian newcomer to the national team Cirilo made a hat-trick in this match, which in total with the goals of Shayakhmetov and Hamadiyev brought the Russians victory with a score of 5: 3. In the second match, the team of Oleg Ivanov defeated the Ukrainians with a score of 4: 1, with the last goal scored by goalkeeper Sergey Zuev . Only in the third match, the Russians lost to the Spaniards (1: 4), but this defeat did not prevent them from reaching the playoffs.

Rival Russia in the semifinals was the Italian team . The debut of the match was unsuccessful for the Russians: Grana scored from a penalty kick, which in many ways predetermined the outcome of the match. The Russians attacked throughout the match, repeatedly fell into the frame of the gate, but failed to distinguish themselves, while the Italians successfully implemented one of the counterattacks. The result of the match - the victory of the Italians with a score of 2: 0. The Russian national team could only play the match for the third place, where it defeated the Portuguese national team with the minimum score (3: 2). The winning goal was scored by Shayakhmetov , later recognized in 2007 as the best player in the world . Distinguished in this match and Cirilo . Five goals scored in the tournament allowed him to share the title of top scorer with the Spaniard Daniel and Serb Rayich.

Return to the World Cup (2008)

According to the draw for the 2008 World Championships , the Russians were in a group of just three teams. And after the French team refused to participate in the tournament, only two members of the group remained. Thus, the group stage in the Russian group consisted of only one match - against the Serbian national team . In a tense match, the Russians won with a score of 3: 2. Goals in their composition were noted Dushkevich , Mayevsky and Shayakhmetov .

In addition to Cirilo and Pele Junior , another Brazilian Dynamo player, Pula, got a call to the national team. However, the three Brazilians played just one match, after which Pele Junior was no longer called up to the team.

In the playoffs, the Russian national team was faced with a standoff with the national team of Belarus . In the guest match, the Russians won with a score of 5-1, and in the home game they drew - 1: 1. Shayakhmetov , who distinguished himself in every match, became the top scorer. A few months later, he sensationally moved from the Yekaterinburg VIZ-Sinary to Moscow Dynamo .

Dmitry Prudnikov - the best young player in the world in 2008

The 20-year-old VIZ-Sinary player Dmitry Prudnikov , who has long been a part of his team, but hasn’t called Oleg Ivanov to the national team, has become a long-awaited newcomer for the World Cup. Also from the young players of the Ekaterinburg team, Konstantin Agapov joined the team. And the youth of Tyumen was represented by Nikolai Pereverzev .

In the first match of the championship, Russians with a score of 10: 5 defeated Cuba . However, in the next match they suffered the biggest defeat in their history, losing to the Brazilians with a score of 0: 7. This defeat was followed by a record victory in the history of the World Championships - the Russians, with a score of 31: 2, beat the team of the Solomon Islands . Nine goals then scored Pula , six - Cirilo . In the last match of the group stage, the Russians, thanks to hat-trick Hamadiev and the double of Prudnikov, beat the Japanese (9: 1) and moved from second place to the next round.

In the first match of the second round, the Spaniards became the opponents of the Russians. Thanks to goals from Prudnikov and Maevsky, the Russians were in the score, but they could not keep the advantage. The result of the match - 5-2 in favor of the Spaniards. A real thriller was the match against Paraguay . Thanks to the hat-trick of Pula and Shayakhmetov's goal, the Russians scored, but two minutes before the end of the meeting allowed the Paraguayans to even the score. The outcome of the match was decided at the last second, when Shayakhmetov scored a double, after Hamadiev and Pula took the ball away from the Paraguayans, and brought victory to Russia (5: 4). In the last match of the round against the national team of Argentina, the Russians had enough of a draw to reach the semifinals, which they got thanks to the goals of Dushkevich and Prudnikov (2: 2).

In the semifinals, the Russians waited for the Brazilian national team, to which they had largely lost a few days earlier. However, this time the team of Oleg Ivanov imposed a serious struggle on the hosts of the tournament. Goals Pula and Hamadiev against the three goals of the Brazilians for a long time kept the intrigue in the match, and only three minutes before the end of the Russians missed the fourth goal, which established the final score - 2-4. Rival of the Russian team in the match for the third place was the Italian team . Goal Dushkevich at the beginning of the second half set a 1-1 draw, holding to the very end of the match. However, on the penultimate minute, Shayakhmetov received the second yellow card and the Italians who played most of them scored 13 seconds before the end of the second half.

Although the Russians did not manage to win medals, many players of the team were awarded at the end of the tournament. Pula with 16 balls scored became the top scorer of the tournament, also in the top ten snipers included Hamadiev , Shayahmetov , Cirilo and Prudnikov . The latter also entered the symbolic team of the tournament and was recognized in 2008 as the best young player in the world according to the UMBRO Futsal Awards. And Zuev was recognized by them as the best goalkeeper of the world.

Failure at the European Championships (2010)

World Championships (2012)

Three European "silver" in a row (2012—2016)

At the group stage of the European Championship 2012, Russia defeated Turkey 5: 0 and played a draw with Italy 2: 2, which was enough to get out of first place. In the quarterfinals, Russia beat Serbia 2: 1 in a stubborn match, in the semi-finals of the hosts Croatia 2: 4.

The final was dramatic. Russia played with Spain. At the 34th minute, Pula led the Russian national team forward. Then at the 36th minute Cirilo received a red card. Russia had to play 2 minutes in three against the five Spaniards, who replaced the goalkeeper with a field player. Russia had chances to score in an empty net, but the Spaniards had time to intercept the ball. Until the end of the match there were 35 seconds, when the transfer of Quique, dressed in the form of a goalkeeper, to Sergio Lozano led to the last goal. 1: 1. On the 3rd minute of the first half of extra time, Sergio Lozano scored a double with a powerful blow under the crossbar. The attacks of the five of us did not lead to the desired result. The third goal of Spain occurred after the final siren, but since Sergio Lozano managed to break through to it, the ball, which entered the empty net, was counted. Lozano designed a hat-trick, and the match ended with the victory of Spain 1: 3.

At the 2014 European Championships, Russia beat the Netherlands 7: 1 in a group and tied with Portugal 4: 4, which was again enough to get out of first place. Then followed the defeat of Romania in the quarter-finals 6: 0. In the semifinals, Russia met with the Spanish national team. Leading with a score of 3: 2, Russia missed again at the moment when the Spaniards played with five of them. Overtime again. This time Russia scored a goal and led 4: 3. Spain has not won back.

In the final, Russia met with Italy. After the first half the score was 1: 3 in favor of Italy. For the second half the score has not changed.

At the European Championships in 2016, Russia conducted the hardest group stage, beating the Kazakhstan team 2: 1, which later became the bronze medalist, and then tied with Croatia 2: 2. This was again enough to exit from the first place. In the quarterfinals, the Azerbaijani team 6: 2 was defeated. The most difficult match was the confrontation with the hosts of the tournament Serbia. Russia was able to win only in extra time 3: 2.

In the final, Russia was confronted by Spain. A lot of ridiculous defense mistakes led to four goals in the first half, and only one answered Russia. Most of the time of the second half, Russia played with five of them, but got 3 goals in the empty net, scoring only two. Match result 3: 7. The failed finals made Sergei Skorovich think about the changes in the composition that followed the 2016 World Championships.

World Cup Silver Medals (2016)

The 2016 World Championships in Colombia became historic for Russia: Sergey Skorovich’s team reached the final, winning all six matches on its way to it. In the application of the Russian team of 14 players were 4 Brazilians: Gustavo, Robinho, Eder Lima and Romulo. Cirilo before the tournament was injured and was expelled. In the group stage, Russia beat the teams of Thailand (6: 4), Egypt (6: 1) and Cuba (7: 1). In the 1/8 finals, the Russian team defeated the Vietnamese team (7: 0), and in the 1/4 finals reached Spain and sensationally knocked it out, defeating 6: 2 (Spain had lost a number of key players by that moment). In the semifinals, Russia broke the resistance of the Iranian team, the future bronze medalists of the tournament, who beat Brazil in the 1/8 finals, with a score of 4: 3.

In the final, the Russians were waiting for the team of Argentina: after the first half, the Argentines were 2: 1, equalizing the score immediately after the Russians goal (scored by Eder Lima) and implementing a 10-meter at the end. In the second half, Russia, with the efforts of Eder Lima, equalized the score and so quickly missed two goals. Then Russia started the game with five of them and soon got the fifth ball into an empty net. Only after this, the team of Sergey Skorovich switched to decisive actions: Dmitry Lyskov played one ball, and 19 seconds before the whistle, Eder Lima scored and the fourth goal of the national team, filling out his hat-trick, but there was no time left for the Russians. Argentina won the world championship for the first time in history, and for the first time to the same and even in the final. Russia won silver medals and improved its personal record: the last time the World Cup medals were taken by the Russians exactly 20 years ago.

Naturalized Brazilians

For the first time, Brazilians were called to the Russian national team in 2005. In 2007, Brazilian Dynamo players Pele Junior and Cirilo went to the European Futsal Championship in Portugal . Two Brazilians also went to the 2008 World Cup , this time Cirilo and Pula . The last with 16 balls scored became the top scorer of the tournament.

At the end of 2009, four Brazilians were already called up for friendly matches against the Czech national team - the TTG-Ugra players Robinho and Eder Lima were added. This news was greeted by many fans in the negative. The result was an open letter to the Minister of Sport, Tourism and Youth Policy, Vitaly Mutko , in which they questioned the need for naturalization of legionnaires at the level of the game demonstrated by Russian players [1] . The composition of the Russians at the European Futsal Championship 2010 in Hungary again got only two Brazilians - Cirilo and Pula . Robinho and Lima were uncoupled, as they failed to obtain Russian citizenship on a tight schedule, despite the efforts of the Russian Mini-Football Association . However, at the 2012 World Championships, they returned to the national team. Since the European Championship 2012 for the Russian team played the best goalkeeper in 2013 Gustavo . At the European Championship 2016 , Romulo appeared. At the European Championships 2018, Eskerdinha was played.
