Qualification

All jumps were held at Whistler Olympic Park . The first day from 10:00 to 11:05 local time ( UTC-8 ) passed the qualification, and the next day from 9:45 to 11:25 the final round.

The first attempt was won by Simon Amman , followed by Adam Malysh , then Matti Hautamyaki , and Gregor Schlierenzauer , the bronze medalist on the normal springboard, was the fifth. In the second attempt, Hautamäki, like Michael Urman on a normal springboard, tore off the second jump and eventually became the 26th, and Schlierenzauer, as on a normal springboard, jumped better than in the first attempt, beat Wolfgang Loizl and became the bronze medalist. Simon Amman jumped the farthest and in the second attempt, and thus became the second in history four-time Olympic champion in ski jumping after Matti Nyukianen , and the first to win all four gold medals in individual competitions. Adam Malysh received the fourth Olympic medal, Schlierenzauer - the second.
