Kapaz ( azerb. Kəpəz Professional Futbol Klubu ) is an Azerbaijani Professional Football Club from Ganja . He achieved the greatest success, speaking under the name "Kapaz". Three - time champion of Azerbaijan , four-time winner of the Cup of Azerbaijan .

Content
Club History
The team was created in 1959 under the name "Textile Worker" Kirovabad. Then it was renamed to “Tereggi” ( azerb. Tərəqqi - progress) and “Tohuju” ( azerb. Toxucu - weavers, textile workers). In 1989, the team received the name "Kapaz" by the name of the mountain , near which the city of Ganja is located. In February 2005, Kapaz changed its name to Ganja. Thus, the president and management of the club decided to glorify the name of the second largest city in Azerbaijan. [2] But in 2011, the team regained the old name "Kapaz".
She made her debut in the championship of the USSR in 1959 in class “B” of 3 zones of the RSFSR . In Soviet times it bore the names:
- in 1959-1962 “Textile worker” (Kirovabad)
- in 1962-1974 Dynamo (Kirovabad)
- in 1975-1981 "Progress" (Kirovabad)
- in 1982-1988 Dynamo (Ganja)
- in 1989-1992 "Kapaz" (Ganja)
