It is located on the right bank of the Kerzhenets river, 39 km north of Semenov and 100 km north-north-east of Nizhny Novgorod . In the north and west, a forest is adjacent to the village, in the east, the village is bounded by a river, beyond which there is also a forest. 2 km southeast (lower on the river) is the village of Polomnoe .
Through the village passes the highway Semenov - Ilyino-Zaborskoye .
