Haveron, Andrew

Andrew Haveron ( born Andrew Haveron ; born 1975 , London ) is a British violinist .

He graduated from the Royal College of Music at Felix Andrievsky . In 1996 he was awarded the second prize at the Paganini Violin Competition in Genoa , in 1997 he received the fourth prize of the Queen Elizabeth Competition in Brussels . He performed all over the world as a soloist, including with such conductors as Roger Norrington , Kent Nagano , Stanislav Skrovachevsky , Jean Jacques Cantorov .

In 1999 - 2007 the first violin of the famous British string Quartet Brodsky . As part of the quartet, he recorded 15 CDs.

Since 2007 , the accompanist of the BBC Symphony Orchestra , since 2012 - the Philharmonic Orchestra , from 2013 to the present - the Sydney Symphony Orchestra .

In 2004 he was awarded the degree of Honorary Doctor of the University of Kent .
