History
The order for the construction of a submarine was given on June 5, 1941 . The boat was laid on August 2, 1943 at the shipyard " Germaniaverft " in Kiel under construction number 692, launched on May 11, 1944 . The boat was commissioned on June 10, 1944 under the command of Chief Lieutenant Hermann Bruder.

Service history
In the kriegsmarine
The boat made 2 combat campaigns. No success has been achieved. Capitulated to Loch Eriball, Scotland , May 10, 1945 . U-1058, unlike most of its products, avoided destruction in the framework of Operation Deadlight .
In the USSR Navy
November 5, 1945 was transferred to the Soviet Union and enrolled in the lists of the Navy of the USSR, in January 1946 adopted by the crew, joined the Red Banner Baltic Fleet . February 13, 1946 renamed the H-23. From February 25, 1946 to January 4, 1956 was part of the 8th Navy . January 12, 1949 assigned to a subclass of medium submarines , from June 9, 1949 received the designation C-82. December 29, 1955 removed from service, disarmed, January 18, 1956 renamed the CCD-32 and put on a joke. It is excluded from the lists of ships of the Navy of the USSR in connection with the delivery to the OFI for dismantling and implementation on March 25, 1958 , disbanded on October 1, 1958 .
