History

The order for the construction of a submarine was given on June 5, 1941 . The boat was laid on August 2, 1943 at the shipyard " Germaniaverft " in Kiel under construction number 692, launched on May 11, 1944 . The boat was commissioned on June 10, 1944 under the command of Chief Lieutenant Hermann Bruder.
