The Council of Ministers of the Kingdom of the Netherlands is the executive body of a federal state, envisaged by the Charter of the Kingdom of the Netherlands , including the mother country, Aruba and the Netherlands Antilles .
It consists of the Council of Ministers of the Netherlands with the addition of the Plenipotentiary Minister of Aruba and the Plenipotentiary Minister of NAO . The Council of Ministers of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, like the Council of Ministers of the Netherlands, is chaired by the Prime Minister of the Netherlands .
The plenipotentiary ministers of Aruba and NAO are accountable to the governments of these territories, and not to the General States , like the Dutch ministers. When the Dutch Cabinet resigns as a result of the crisis, the Plenipotentiary Ministers remain in office.
The laws in force in the metropolis and in both federal territories are called the "Laws of the Kingdom" (Rijkswet), for example, such is the law on Dutch citizenship.
